It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Old Blackburnian Barry Walsh, a much loved brother and uncle, who passed away on 31st May 2019 aged 62 years.
Barry’s interests whilst at school were particularly wide and varied for a young man of that age. He enjoyed aeromodelling, instrument making, was a member of the Railway Club, Film Society and school Scout Group and was a member of the school football, cricket and cross-country teams. He was a life-long supporter of Blackburn Rovers.
One of Barry’s passions in later life was Horology. A keen clock repairer, he was a member of the British Horological Institute, and enjoyed working on all types of models and mechanical devices including model airplanes, railway layouts and car circuits, as well as clocks and watches.
Barry leaves his brother Andrew, sister Alison, brother-in-law Alastair, sister-in-law Emma and nieces Flora, Isabella and Helena. Our thoughts are with his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
