Pupils and Students in Years 7 and 12 walked to Blackburn Town Hall earlier this week to commemorate Armed Forces Day ( Saturday 24th June ).

Armed Forces Day gives everyone the opportunity to show their support and give thanks to the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community –  from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets.

Leading the proceedings in Blackburn was the Mayor, Councillor Parwaiz Akhtar. Following short speeches the Armed Forces Day flag was hoisted to fly proudly over Blackburn.

Pupils and students were delighted to be able to speak with the Mayor at the end of the ceremony about this important celebration.

Our Pupils and Students did us very proud.
