Former pupil Olivia Pilling uses the life and landscapes of the north as inspirations for her paintings. Olivia was an exceptional student, industrious and talented. Her A level project was based on portraits of her father. The series of paintings were on wooden panels rather than canvas, which is the norm.

The quality of drawing and painting in her sketchbooks showed her interest in landscape in West Yorkshire. After QEGS Olivia studied at Blackburn College and graduated from Nottingham and Trent University with a degree in Fine Arts.
