Pupils in Year 7 have taken part in a Motte and Bailey Castle Project to support their study of William the Conqueror and his methods to secure his position in Norman England.
Tasked with designing their own version of a Motte and Bailey castle, pupils interpreted the project in several different ways, including the use of Paper Mache, sticks and mud, lolly sticks and even cake (a personal favourite of Miss Ash).
The pupils will continue their study of the Normans this term and hopefully carry on with their creative interpretations that bring their History topics to life!
