Our Primary School pupils have been spreading their festive cheer to residents at a Springfield Care Home today.

Thirteen children paid a  visit to the residential home on Preston New Road this morning.

The youngsters burst into song and entertained residents for more than 45 minutes as they performed a range of Christmas songs and distributed gifts that had been collected by staff, pupils and their families.

Mrs Southworth, Head of Primary said “ It was very heart warming. I was very proud watching our pupils today. They showed warmth and compassion towards these residents and really brightened up their day, with a cheerful smile and a festive tune. The pupils were wonderful and had been practising very hard for the performance.”
